Be of Service

“How can I serve others”? Everyone has something going on, how can I be of service right now. Instead of spending hours exploring my world and twisting myself and others into knots, analyzing every single thing, l can look to what is bigger than me and turn my sights onto something that is higher, something that has purpose. There is the gardener and he is tending to a tree that has fruit on it, and at his feet is only one apple. Or the line cook at a convalescent home making minimum wage, slaving in a hot kitchen. He is working hard for so little, so it would seem. But turn it to serving others. What if this tree was say a person. Perhaps a sick person who is dear to you. What if this cook was making someones last meal. His help is so valuable, sure he may get a paycheck, but he leaves behind a memory. The hard work you put in does have value. It’s not always about working begrudgingly so someone else can reap all the rewards, but it’s about giving your life meaning and value. All it is, is a different viewpoint, taking the, it’s all about me perspective, and turning it to, what can I do for you. You may receive a reward for your efforts, but that’s not the point, the point is that your effort is worth so much more than what you get back, it’s about what you give. So much satisfaction comes from giving and serving others and working for a higher purpose. The immediate reward is, it feels good and you find satisfaction, but in the long run, you are actually leaving a legacy. What you leave behind is the solution and not the problem. Shhhh! Blemishes die in their sleep.

Alright, here we go. Emotions are flying!!! Deep breaths, deep breaths. Let it lie and don’t disturb the beast, find peace in the quiet. Or be grateful for the peace and quiet that you have unexpectedly found but just haven’t figured it out yet. It’s time to separate, isolate, and dispose of, and then see how awesome everything that is left is. It’s funny how no matter how beautiful you are, if you get a zit, that’s all you see in the mirror, is the freaking zit. It’s so small, and in the end it’s just a zit, gross right? It goes away, and you have your face back, and just like a crappy day, it passes and then you are good. God I hate zits, but I don’t think about them all the time. So why focus on life’s “zits”….squirrel. I guess what I am saying is don’t hyper focus on something that doesn’t even matter. If there is something you need to do, take care of it and then move on. Anything else, that does not involve an action, is NOTHING. I think it’s a lesson of being in the present. For just this moment, don’t live in the past, don’t live in the future, don’t live in someone else’s present (or future), live within your actions, and make them count. Breathing is an action. 4 of Swords. It’s actually a bit of a death card, but it’s more of a letting go. The person stopped struggling, put down the sword, and drifted away in peace. In essence, died in their sleep. Okay so how did I get from zits, to dying in your sleep. Don’t you just wake up one day and they are gone? Hmmm. What’s your next step? Finding Warmth…

Sometimes you have to release your view of how people can be cold to you and instead see the warmth that others in your life may bring. Dig into work and experience a new relationship with yourself. You will be on the mend for awhile but if you get swept up into the flow of everything else around you then you will eventually wake up in a place where you have never been before and there you will experience peace and prosperity. Winter will be a good season. What’s your next step?

Angry??

There is a strong woman, she’s aggressive and scrambling to make ends meet, and has been on edge lately. She doesn’t want to snap at people, but it just comes out, she’s fed up. You are blocked, it’s like you are tangled up in ropes and are struggling to get free and because you are trying so hard to keep up with what’s going on now, and deal with each day, you can’t look forward to the future and brainstorm ways to break out of your circle. This causes frustration and you release it anyway you can and it’s coming out in the form of anger. Anger is a big word. It’s a feeling, it’s action, it’s a state of being. You need a windfall, you need a break, somethings gotta give, this can’t last forever, somehow you must break free. Actually anger is a good way to break free when used correctly. If it’s directed at other people, well, what can I say, we all have our moments, but when it turns into a life condition and identified, in Buddhism it’s the 4th level of vibration, it’s a lower world, but enlightenment exists in all of the worlds, once you see it you automatically lift out of it, and it turns into humanity. Which is saying once you stop directing that anger at yourself and everyone else around you, you can turn that angry energy into a propeller. The two cards I am talking about are the Queen of Swords and the eight of swords. What’s interesting, is it’s the “Queen” of Swords, and you guessed it, she is holding a huge sword. The 8 of Swords is a woman who is tied up in ropes (blocked). So you’re tied up, well, you have a sword (anger), and if you have a rope and a knife, the knife always wins, clip clip clip and you’re free. Sounds easy right? Yeah, not really. But, think about it. If you are directing your anger at yourself and others you are using it to push people away, and push your dreams away. It’s a push. And you can’t catch up to it and you end up scrambling. So we need a pull. We need things to COME to you, not go from you. Energy in, not energy out. Are you following me still. So if we shift that anger into motivation and ambition, flip around the coin and look for the silver lining, find the enlightenment, it’s there, then we are pulling in energy, harnessing it. Think about when you snap at someone, road rage, bad waiters, whining children, husbands, whatever, what happens? You get this rush of energy, you get flushed, your heart beats faster, your adrenaline gets going, you feel a sense of entitlement, a sense that you are right. That’s a lot of energy!! And you are giving it away and creating more problems. What happens when you use that energy yourself, wow, it’s super powerful, and radiant, and you become a beacon. Helpful people will come, you aren’t pushing them away, they are coming to you, will flock to you in fact, and with the power of working with a team, and it’s not you against the world, it’s you with the world, you catch up with yourself, and you move forward, out of the circle. The cards are saying you need help and it will come to you, and that you will have time to digest everything, catch your breath, and a plan will come to you. So decide, do you want to manifest, or do you want to push everything away from you and create more problems. Write about it. Open up Word and just start typing. Start off with, “I’m f*&#$%% pissed” And then type about what pisses you off, get the ball rolling, and then what you wish you had, and how you want people to be. Next thing you know, you have a list of things you need, just did some manifesting, and came up with a plan. Imagine that. What’s your next step? xoxo Stina

Love and Romance

Relationships are finally moving to the next level.

For the committed relationship. I see great love and romance for you, but I see some decisions coming up and you may have to sacrifice some of your happiness in order to advance the relationship and attain bigger goals. The boundaries of your relationship are going to stretch to fully include each others life. You’ll have to accept the good with the challenges, this is necessary to give the relationship life as a family unit. What’s your next step?

Mercury Retrograde and New Car Blues

I thought it would be funny to share my own tribulations. We all go through it sometimes. So I need my own inspiration and guidance, actually I would take some from some of you out there if you got any! I am trying to sell/buy a car to save money on gas and it has just been one thing after another not going my way during this process. People dropping out of buying my car, and potential cars that I am supposed to buy being delayed for one reason or another. Mercury retrograde? I’m borrowing a car for now. So I go to buy a car today. Sounded so good. I’m thinking this is it! Finally! I get it and drive it home. The smell inside of this car was overwhelming and unbearable. Seriously people, rank. Stuck in an hour and half of bumper to bumper traffic in 107 degree heat. I am taking it back tonight, sadly I have to drive it for another half hour, I think I am going to bust out the industrial strength febreeze. So my inspiration because what good is being psychic if you don’t get to read yourself, maybe someone can relate, my cards, the devil, I’m stuck for now, but victory is coming soon 6 of wands, with a different car page of cups. It’s been a long journey, the moon, but I can stick with it, the queen of wands, but I will get a great car soon, the world. Okay, so I got that on the second shuffle. The first batch of cards started with some nasty swords and the tower, we’ll just sweep that reading under the rug and start fresh. And fresher smelling. Thank god for showers.

Autumnal Reading

I like to do general Tarot readings for the season and here we are again, it’s the beautiful season of Autumn, I love Fall, the weather is so beautiful, the clothes are beautiful (I can break out my cashmere), the trees are beautiful. It’s my favorite time of year.

I saw Summer as being the season to branch out into our communities and start new projects with new people. Maybe not all the rules or goals that we wanted were followed or fulfilled, but I see that new projects have started. Mentors are good, I hope that you have found someone to admire and look up to in the past few months to motivate you. If you haven’t looked up to somebody recently maybe you should look around you and find the admirable traits in others and contemplate how you may incorporate some of those traits into your own lives. It’s a lesson in respect that I hope we did not miss this past season, but it is never too late to admire the greatness in others, we should do it all the time. I am sure all of you are incredible in your own way and I love to hear of your accomplishments and about your a-ha moments from this past season.

This season looks like it is more in the realm of intimate relationships and intimate conversations and communications. Last season we were out in the community and adopting mentors, this season we bring what we have learned back home. Recently I see that new ground has been broken in old relationships and a new light has been shed to spruce up our lives with those that are closest to us, be it family, friends, or our romantic interests. When we start new projects and allow new opportunities into our lives it drives us away from our nearest beloveds, but now that the ball is in motion and the new routines are set in place we are able to once again focus in on our loved ones. Last season our drive was to connect to our communities, this season is to connect to the people who are the closest to us. They are our support system and I see future plans can be made with these individuals that can benefit more than our home lives but also our lives that are outside of the home. Usually they say family and money don’t mix, but sometimes family and business does. If you have ideas that could involve business projects with friends or family now would be a good time to look at your plans more closely and maybe even take some action.

I think there has been much stress in our individual relationships and that stress is going to go back out to sea and very soon we shall see calm enter into our lives and everybody else is going to calm down too. Everybody is getting a handle on their lives and the calm and peace is contagious and will spread throughout our families. I predict that this Autumn is going to be a fairly peaceful one. At the end of the season, in a couple of months, things are going to heat up as we cool down into the Winter season and there will be much movement. Perhaps some of you will even move at that time but now is not the time to worry about that, we should be busy enjoying our peace. This isn’t lazy peace, this is like the peace that comes with a well oiled and maintained machine, everything is working the way it’s supposed to and everyone is carrying their own weight.

All in all I see strong personal relationships, prior goals being met with great success, secure families financially and emotionally and truly excellent communication. We have a lot to learn about each other and from each other. I guess you can say it is nice to share.

For some of you I see there is a longing to bring someone back into your life. It is time to let them go and make peace with yourself and open yourself up to allow new people to come in. You are in a different place now and you don’t have to bring everyone from your past with you. There are new people to meet and new connections to be made. I have this funny feeling that you will come across people who know the same people you do.

Reading for the Summer

I wrote this in honor of the day of the summer solstice I decided to do a special extended reading for the day. This is what I see…I see a break and new beginnings and triumph over past difficulties. Sometimes it is hard to see the new beginning when you are still in shock from a draining past. Don’t dwell too much on all of the details of your prior trouble. It’s over and done, just breathe and be present because living in this now is much better than living in reverie of a crappy past. And speaking of a crappy past, that is exactly what shows up. Crap city. WTH has happened, and it looks like it went on for like ever! My goodness, well it’s over, yes over. Wow, it’s about time for a break in the bad weather and it is here. It finally stopped raining and I see clear skies. Perfect for summer!
I see good support, strong communications and deep love that is protecting your interests. Let your allies be your allies and keep those lines of communication open and you will find a deepening in stronghold relationships. Our relationships are providing a lot of strength right now. Sometimes we find our strength in solace, but today I see strength in numbers. We are all looking forward to victory for our desires and a chance to bring home the elixir, it will be ours but it will not be won with money, it will come through expanding our connections with people in our community and by families coming together helping everyone win. Hmmm someone is moving back home or spending extended time with family, it’s a good move and a good time for it. Expect some good family times in the near future, perhaps it is referring to the 4th of July or an anxiously awaited summer vacation.

Uh oh, I see money being a little tight in the coming months, along with maybe a bit of backsliding of faith. Things are so good and so fun right now, it’s easy to lose our center, or our wallet. Don’t forget to take time to commune with whatever it is that eases you. I don’t know about you but I am overdue for a good chakra balancing. Here is a tip, if you can hear my voice in the future, if you keep a toe in the water of your spirituality it will be good for your pocket book, so if you find funds being tight, just dig into your spirituality and don’t forget to be grateful and you will see your prosperity flow.

Once again I see harmony in the family, very good, if you haven’t figured it out by now this is a full reading, remember that elixir I mentioned, this is important if you want to come home with it you need to listen and follow step with everyone else, now is not a time to be a squeaky wheel, sit up, shut up, and be useful and the victories will just pour in.

Now is not the time to worry about a man, nor dream about one. Isn’t that a relief, just breathe and happily have your focus and your feelings placed firmly in your life and not at the whim of someone else. If you’re in a relationship there is no need to worry and if you are single, there is no need to worry. What a great emotional time, so much peace of mind.

And finally we get Temperance with the Chariot. Full speed ahead for the rest of the year. Everything is really coming together and all of your pursuits will be well on their way through to the new year.

Happy Day of Indepence!

In honor of the fourth of July, I decided to do a full length reading about our independence. It is a day of celebrating independence after all, not only can we celebrate America’s birthday, but what about ourselves and what we have overcome in our lives. For many of us it has been a rough past year or even years. Ever since 911 it the world just seems different. I believe that our lives reflect our environment and the environment reflects our lives and if that is the case there is a lot of struggle out there. Today in my prayers, where I normally am grateful for what I have, I just had a flash on how many people are suffering right now. People who are close to me even. It’s not that I am fortunate for my my blessings and my problems seem like nothing compared to many I know, it was just a feeling of what can I do today? I can pray, I know how to do that. And I can cook, and I can enjoy my family, and I can share my insights. Perhaps this idea of independence that inspired me to read today relates to independence from our struggles. What lifts us out of our misery? I know gratitude helps, but also the love of others and lifting each other up.
Let’s get started.
First what is represented is a walking away from our sources of distress, let’s take you out of that space right now. Put all of your worries aside, there is always time to worry, but we don’t need to, not right now. We are walking away from what keeps us oppressed. I see many troubles, it could be one person with a whole heap of stuff going on, or a conglomeration of all of our bindings together, mine included! Hey! I don’t have a car right now, but you know what? I have a ride, so I don’t have to worry, I can leave that behind. Isn’t it funny that the man in the card is on foot. Kinda like me. 🙂 What is surrounding us is the heat of Summer! The new season, everything heats up. While it’s down time for many, it’s also a time for getting revved up. I was reading the other day that a good way to use the Summer is to look at your progress from the last year and do your forecasting and budgeting and planning. So much is done at the end of the year when it’s crunch time, why not use this time to do the same. Make plans to revisit your goals for the year and put some of them back into motion. And look at your progress from last year. Where are you at, what can you do within the next month to get you further down the road? Don’t waste this time, it is full of energy, walk away from your worries and transfer your energies into what you can do, and how you can start what you have been putting off for ages. Or what seems to be ages at least.
I won’t dwell too much on the past, because we are all aware of what has been going on and it is different for many but the cards are Judgement and the Ace of Pentacles. To me that means making final decisions that have a direct impact on finances. New opportunities have shown up to aid in moving us forward on our path of life. I see these opportunities being more in the materialistic world. New jobs, new clothes, new cars, new budgets, new goals about our real lives and what we are really doing right now, not what we fantasize about. Real work is being done. Good job!
I, by the way, got a new deck of cards, The Illuminati, my are they gorgeous, I am breaking them in right now and this is my first in depth public reading with them. They are very encouraging and lovely.
The Hierophant, conformity to the norm has been showing up a bunch, in my readings and even in the last reading I did. Again the theme of paying attention to what is going on on around you and following suit will get you the down the road more distance and more quickly, and more easily. I see the foundation of our independence is not walking away from each other, but banding together and growing together. Not necessarily relying on each other, or leaning all over each other, just working shoulder to shoulder with each other, learning from each other, and enjoying the time that we have with each other. The community nourishes our souls and fills us up with inspiration. Now is not the time of the Hermit, we don’t get ahead by stepping on each other like a mob either, everyone gets in line and there will be plenty of success for everyone to share.
The goal is to be on top of it all. Have a firm grasp of everything we want to take care of and be in control of our lives. Not necessarily in control of others, but to be leaders that is born out of our action. This is possible, but there are steps to accomplish this.
Do not slip into disappointment in the coming weeks, things are rolling along at what seems to be a slower pace, but once you look back it will all seem so fast. What you were hoping for, the big bang is not going to seem so big once it’s done, but it will be a huge accomplishment in the long run. You are making steps toward your future and building a foundation and the main blocks are being put into place. They may seem small, but in actuality, they are huge and crucial for you to move forward with any sort of momentum. And momentum you will gain. And BAM – here comes the Chariot, look out here we come, full speed ahead focused in our desires that push us more towards things that lift us up and not push us down. Yes! Make goals and you will succeed. Go! Go! Go!
Uh oh, maybe things start moving a little too fast in a couple of months and that harmony with each other gets a little screwed up. Don’t forget to listen and work together, harmony folks not discord, discord keeps us down, you don’t want to be down while you are galloping forward. Be that encouragement to others with proof of your success appearing before their very eyes. Don’t flaunt it, just encourage.
Ah love. Isn’t it nice to take a trip down lovers lane. I saw this in the last reading too, love doesn’t take a back seat, it just isn’t so desperate, it’s just happily sitting there. Keep harmony and remember love works great when two independent individuals come together to work as one unit. Independence is key. If you go your way, you won’t be leaving anyone behind or walking out of anyone’s life, there are no worries. You will just be more attractive as your motivation picks up and you focus on your dreams. Being in the midst of your creativity is very sexy, it’s okay to have your day in the sun. Take it and be loved for it. There are no fears to be had in love at this time. However, sometimes when things are going well, we are so used to having some drama that we will use love as an excuse to freak out. Just don’t. Just focus on being the best you.
And finally this independence that I see is motivated hard work. And is enjoyed hard work. Interesting as you gain momentum you will find that any fatigue will slip away. That is very encouraging to me.
I see the main idea is direction, and heading in the right way. And as we all grow within ourselves, we will all grow together. It’s not selfish, it’s not lonely, it’s not greedy. We are coming into a time of motivation followed by steady momentum. Very exciting Summer! Now get going!

Happy Independence Day, and if you have pets I hope the fireworks don’t freak them out so much. I heard, if you are out enjoying the displays, put on gentle music for them to keep them calm through all of the booms, rattles and crackles.

Stay out of the heat!

Ah things are coming together and a break is coming before the start of a long journey that will bring much mystery. I wonder why the cards look so cooling when it is so hot outside? Stay out of the heat and drink lots of water!
